Looking back through the ages, and observing how societies were formed, shaped, and controlled, not just by politics or economics, but by a darker, more subtle, unseen force. One that operates under the veneer of reality, deep within the layers of conscious awareness.

In particular, among its various forms, such as hypnosis or mantras, music as a powerful influencing tool is a standout when it comes down to distorting or steering the collective consciousness. Think of the Hitler-Wagner connection in steering a nation to a disastrous end.

With that said, the power of the cult of personality, idol worship if you will, combined with music, can create a wildly potent cocktail of psychological and emotional triggers for controlling the masses. Understanding this concept, one can see the capabilities to influence and guide the masses toward a specific ideology, manipulate behaviors, and even induce spiritual experiences. We’ve seen this played out throughout the eras in wars and religious movements.

Hypnosis: The Gateway to Suggestibility

Often thought of as a stage gimmick, hypnosis often falls into ‘just another form of entertainment’. But, by taking a deeper look into its core mechanism, we can see one of the roots of mind control, i.e., focused attention and heightened suggestibility. These two points are the bread and butter for mass mind control embedded within many media and ritual experiences.

Consider religious ceremonies, political rallies, and concerts. These events may involve techniques intended to influence attendees, often without their explicit awareness. Additionally, flat screen televisions commonly found in public spaces and homes can present messages and opinions that shape viewers’ perceptions through various forms of persuasion and presentation. For context:

  • Repetition of phrases

  • Rhythmic speech patterns

  • Emotional priming through visuals and sound

When it comes to making a demonic sausage for nefarious means, these are the ingredients needed to bypass critical thinking and hotwire the subconscious. This is dangerously delicious to those hiding behind the curtain. Because they can embed their programming deep into the recesses of unsuspecting minds, which have been induced into an alpha state, which easily makes individuals more receptive to notions that they might otherwise find repulsive or even resist outright! It’s the perfect recipe for mass brainwashing and mind control. Again, can someone please pass the mustard! I believe this accounts for all the smooth-brained NPCs (non-person characters). walking about today, like a zombie apocalypse. And don’t take my word for it, look into it, the flicker rate of a TV screen cycles at such a rate it puts the viewer into an alpha state. It’s old news but forgotten and buried.

Mantras: The Power of Repetition

Whether sacred or secular, mantras are a powerful linguistic tool. Developed over the centuries to entrain the minds of folks for various means. The hypnotic and rhythmic repetitions of phrases or just a word like “Om”, “Amen”, or, to add flavor, a brand slogan, cuts through the mind, carving a neurological groove. This is like non-invasive brain surgery, reinforcing belief and emotional resonance. Sounds crazy, but there are two sides to this coin. On one side are the spiritual aspects, where, in tradition, mantras are used to elevate the consciousness of the individual. On the other, mantras are used commercially or in a political context to anchor brand identity or loyalty to a party or individual. Bwah ha ha!

Yes, simplicity and rhythmic flow are what gives a mantra its power. Like a treble hook in a fish's mouth, a mantra becomes a mental anchor. A loop dancing in the back recesses of the mind, overriding any rational thought and embedding itself into the deeper parts of the psyche.

Music: The Emotional Conductor

Arguably, the emotional potency of music and its universal application across all cultural boundaries makes it one powerful tool. Like the Pied Piper, music can not only attract and synchronize group behavior, but it can alter brainwave states and evoke deep emotional responses upon its captivated listeners. Ponder the rhythmic and hypnotic tribal drumming and bring it on down to pop anthems. Music has always been a powerful tool in its use to:

  • Unify crowds

  • Amplify emotional states

  • Create a sense of transcendence or belonging

Another perfect example is how music is paired and choreographed with visual imagery and narratives to create an altered state of consciousness through immersed experiences that shape and mold a perception and behavior. When it comes to rallying cries for a collective identity, it’s no coincidence that this game is played along with religious hymns, anthems, and of course, protest songs to stir and sway the masses.

Idol Worship: The Embodiment of Influence

As I stated before about the cult of personality, idol worship, a flaw and trap that we as humans often fall into from time to time, is the basic elevation of a celebrity type figure or even a symbol that is elevated to a divine or untouchable status. Whether it’s a football or baseball team, a religious deity, celebrity, or political leader, you fill in the blanks, this idol of sorts becomes a focal point for the projection of hopes, desires, fears, and beliefs.

Now this is where it gets mental. Incorporating tools like hypnosis and mantras, along with some really great music, that is designed and tailored towards the glorification of an idol, the results can be profound. A feedback loop of emotional and psychological reinforcement is produced. Please, put the Kool-Aid down! What I’m talking about, is that the idol, the thing of worship, becomes not just a symbol or a person, but a repository of collective consciousness, in my understanding, a Jim Jones type of affair in capturing the hearts and minds of the masses.

“Just like in ancient times, this game was played to bind individuals into a collective…”

The Synergy: A Modern Ritual

Rituals, rituals, from the ancient era to modern-day society, this synergy is noticeable in everything from political campaigns to pop culture phenomena. Take into account what happens during a concert, if you will where:

  • The crowd chants the artist’s name (mantra)

  • The music induces trance-like states (hypnosis)

  • The artist is revered as a cultural icon (idol worship)

What are we talking about here? This is just not entertainment, man. It’s a ritual! It’s spiritual! Just like in ancient times, this game was played to bind individuals into a collective where values, emotions, and behaviors were often a shared experience. It was a system of control for the governing bodies of that time. And I can say it is still in use today.

Conclusion: Awareness as Liberation

The crux of the biscuit in understanding these mechanisms is not about rejecting or tearing down these precepts, but to be aware, and being conscious of their influence. On the positive side of things, these aspects can be used as tools for healing, inspiration, and unity. But there is the nefarious side of weaponizing these tools for manipulation and control. As I mentioned before, the unseen force.

But to stay ahead in this game, one needs to cultivate a strong sense of self awareness in maintaining personal autonomy. There is a spell that has been cast upon the whole world, but it’s only powerful when it remains unseen.

Did You Know?

The Star-Spangled Banner became the US national anthem in 1931. Prior to that, it was My Country “Tis of Thee,” which had the same melody as Britian’s national anthem God Save the Queen, which is based on music written by John Bull in 1619. Bull’s melody has been used more than any song in national anthems.
